Genetic tests

Genetic tests are particularly valuable for pinpointing risk factors for various diseases and premature ageing, and for preventing them as much as possible before a problem develops. Genetic tests allow you to control the ageing process preventively, avoid risk factors and choose exactly the right prevention for you. Genetic testing is an accurate, quick and convenient way of diagnosis.

The Dermatology Clinic offers a range of genetic test packages: for weight management, anti-aging measures, predisposition assessment for autoimmune, dermatological, gynaecological, cardiological, gastroenterological, neurological and other diseases. Genetic tests can also be performed on children from birth - a special paediatric package is available.

How is the genetic test done?

The doctor recommends which genetic test to perform, depending on the patient's preferences, symptoms, test results, family history and financial means.

The material for the test is the patient's saliva, which is placed in a special container and sent to a laboratory in Europe. Test results are received within a month. The result report shows the exact changes in the genes, the risk factors for the development of the diseases concerned, and gives preventive recommendations to protect the identified gene from mutations.

No special preparation is needed for the tests, just 30 minutes before the saliva is collected, the patient must not eat or smoke.

Genetic tests available at the Dermatology Clinic:

  • Basic

The test gives an idea of possible genetic mutations. It allows you to assess the body's capacity for cell renewal, the likelihood of disease progression, and to improve the treatment of chronic diseases. Useful in the following conditions: chronic inflammatory diseases, suspected lactose intolerance, slow detoxification, disorders of lipid, carbohydrate and homocysteine metabolism, etc.

  • SKINgen

The test can assess the risk of developing skin diseases and premature ageing. Based on the information provided by the SKINgen test, the specialist can define the most precise programme (diet, lifestyle, etc.) to improve the patient's skin health and slow down skin ageing.

  • ALOPECIAgen

The test is recommended for both women and men aged 20-30 with a family history of hair loss. After analysing the test results, the specialist can recommend the most appropriate anti-hair loss treatment, as well as dietary and lifestyle changes to reduce the risk of hair loss even before the problem appears.

  • DIABETOgen

DIABETOgen allows you to spot early signs that are associated with the development of type 2 diabetes. It is genetic predisposition that is a major factor in the development of type 2 diabetes.

  • FEMgen

The FEMgen test allows you to analyse your individual risk of developing side effects from hormone replacement therapy (menopause, postmenopause, etc.). The test enables the specialist to prescribe the most appropriate therapy and dosage.
